SFBS October Dinner Meeting - Lead in the Workplace - An Update on Cal/OSHA's New Standard

October 29, 2024
Contact Hours:
1
Description:

Lead has been and remains a hazard of concern in many industries, especially in the water sectors, including wastewater. Decades old aging infrastructure and the need to replace assets and certain elements of existing infrastructure, occupational lead exposure not only exists, but may also become an increasingly frequent hazard that we need to be aware of and proactively control.

Proper identification of lead in project planning and understanding how to prevent occupational exposures is paramount to the safety of personnel.

With Cal/OSHA’s recently updated lead standard, the information that will be shared is not only relevant, but critical to people, project schedules and agency cost.
