A San Francisco Bay Section and North San Joaquin Section joint Dinner Meeting

This presentation will focus on a unique combination of modern tools for wastewater treatment plant design and operations. The first part will cover use cases, tools, and benefits of 3D reality capture; and the second part will cover use cases and benefits of artificial intelligence and predictive analytics. Key learning objectives include

  • Recognizing the benefits artificial intelligence and predictive analytics.
  • Learning how these can be applied to generate value for wastewater utilities.

Speakers
Peter Martin has been helping water & wastewater utilities, and their consultants solve problems with digital water and asset management software for 25 years. He currently is a Digital Solutions Consultant with Trinnex, a subsidiary of CDM Smith. Peter’s expertise includes hydraulic modeling, digital twins, asset management, GIS, smart meters, energy optimization, AI and machine learning, and data science.

Ryan Kostrzewa is an environmental engineer with 7 years of experience with CDM Smith currently in their Sacramento office. He has worked on water and wastewater conveyance and specializes in lead service line technology and replacements across the nation. He has been a part of the lead and copper revisions issued through the EPA and has worked to introduce updated corrosion control treatments and update existing infrastructure to drinking water plants with high levels of lead service lines.
