Description:
Overview The City of
Merced WWTP laboratory is ELAP and TNI-2 certified for approximately 30 EPA and
Standard Method procedures on-site. They analyze both water and wastewater for
microbiology and inorganics for approximately 700 samples a month and 3600
analyses. Recently, they upgraded the Seal AQ1 to AQ400 for analyzing nitrate
and other nitrogen and phosphorous compounds. The laboratory is staffed by 3 lab technicians and 1 supervisor,
operating 7days/week to support the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). City of
Merced WWTP treats 8MGD/day with ongoing expansion to support 11-12MGD flow.
