Description:
Join us for an overview of Renewable Natural Gas produced from wastewater treatment facilities! RNG from wastewater treatment supports energy recovery and is cost-effective for fueling vehicles and utilities.
Click Here for Flyer The production of renewable natural gas (RNG) at wastewater treatment facilities supports the recovery of renewable energy and in many cases can be financially favorable to implement. Once produced, RNG can be used to fuel fleet vehicles with CNG or injected into the natural gas utility pipeline. This presentation will review the basics of biogas treatment to produce RNG, the financial considerations that make these projects successful, and descriptions of facilities within California. Speakers: Tom Chapman Tom is a civil engineer with expertise in municipal wastewater solids and energy processes. His background includes design, construction, startup, and operation of solids and energy systems. He enjoys providing operator training classes and presentations to help operators prepare for certification exams. Alison (Noji) Nojima Noji is BC’s National Energy Specialty Leader advancing clean energy and biogas solutions for wastewater agencies nationwide. She helps utilities navigate energy funding, optimize decarbonization strategies, and design resilient energy systems, with experience delivering renewable natural gas and cogeneration projects.
