Please join LABS for our 6th virtual presentation to learn about the solutions developed by the City of Los Angeles to address bromate formation during the UV/chlorine advanced oxidation process in the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant (TIWRP) Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF).

The plant currently treats an average wastewater flow of 14.5 mgd from industrial, commercial and residential land uses within Terminal Island, San Pedro, Wilmington, and portions of Harbor City. Plant effluent is either treated to recycled water standards at the AWPF or discharged into the Los Angeles Outer Harbor through a submarine outfall with multi-port diffusers. The TIWRP AWPF is a water reclamation facility that provides advanced purification of TIWRP tertiary effluent for use at the Dominguez Gap Groundwater Barrier, Department of Water and Power Harbor Generating Station and other locations to be identified in the future.
