This is a great opportunity to tour the Reno-Stead Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) (2.35 MGD) virtually, an advanced water treatment facility discharging to wetlands and reclaimed water systems. With the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), the facility is pilot testing the feasibility of indirect potable reuse (IPR) and groundwater augmentation.
Technologies include Coagulation-Flocculation-Clarification Granular Media Filtration (CFC-GMF), Ozone-Biologically Activated Carbon (O3-BAC), and Ultraviolet Disinfection and Effluent Polishing (UV+).
