Description:

Sunnyvale’s Cleanwater Program is rebuilding its 29.5-MGD Water Pollution Control Plant. Since the 1960s, it has relied on oxidation ponds for secondary treatment. With parallel projects beginning construction next year, Sunnyvale will rehabilitate their old facilities and construct a new conventional activated sludge process to run in tandem.
