Description of Presentation
A presentation on the running of samples for solids, filterable and
non-filterable as well as their combination in Total Solids. Review of
differences between the 2011 and 2015 methods that need to be addressed in your
SOPs, and Quality Program resulting from the adoption of the 2015 version as
the required reference method. Preparation of your own QC samples. Why pay top
dollar for someone else to prepare a reference standard that you can easily and
inexpensively prepare in your own lab. Techniques for successful analysis.
Speaker:
Scott Jacobs has been in the wastewater field since 1990 and has been with the
City of Modesto since 2008. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and
fulfilled the requirements for a degree in Philosophy from CSU Stanislaus. He
holds a CWEA Lab Analyst Grade 4 certificate with a Water Distribution 2
license from SWRBC.
