The PSQ reverse flow project implemented a novel idea of using an existing force-main to provide additional flow capacity during small-medium storm events. By conveying gravity flows through it when the pump station is not in use, this project is critical to reducing discharges from EBMUD’s Point Isabel Wet-weather Facility. This presentation will walk you through the process from concept through construction and discuss the project benefits and lessons learned throughout.
