The City of South San Francisco - San Bruno Water Quality Control Plant (WQCP) is an award-winning facility that provides wastewater treatment and ocean outfall disposal for the cities of South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, the San Francisco International Airport, and minor portions of Daly City and the Town of Colma. The facility has been in service since 1952 and serves approximately 100,000 customers. The average dry weather flow through the facility is 7 million gallons per day (MGD). The WQCP strives to be an environmental leader in providing progressive wastewater management through innovation, fiscal responsibility, teamwork, and community partnerships.
 
WQCP is under active construction. Attendees will need to wear closed toe shoes and bring a hard hat and safety vest for use during the tour. A small number of hats/vests are available upon request. 
 

Lunch will be provided with tacos from La Potranca's food truck. Also, make sure you stay until the end, for your chance to win one of our great door prizes.
