Join us for an insightful discussion on the Delta Diablo Cogen System Improvements Project. Discover how our team collaborated to successfully meet the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Beginning of Construction requirements.

Learning Objectives:
  • Participants will learn how Delta Diablo accomplished alternatives analysis, pre-design, design, bidding, and on-site construction before 2025.
  • Participants will learn how design was streamlined when schedule could not be compromised.
  • Participants will learn how the IRA created a common goal for a team to work together.

Costs* $50 members $70 non-members $30 students

Menu:

Appetizers – Fried Zucchini, Bruschetta, & Fried Ravioli
Buffet – Salad with house dressing, Caesar salad, fruit tray, roasted potatoes, rice pilaf, pasta primavera in marinara, steamed vegetables, chicken marsala, baked salmon, pork filet medallions
Desert – Chef’s choice (TBD)

Speakers:

Murat Bozkurt is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California with a strong background in government administration, specializing in program and project management, contract management, water and wastewater management, construction management, and civil/structural engineering. As Delta Diablo’s Engineering Services Director/District Engineer, Mr. Bozkurt directs all activities within the Engineering Services Department, overseeing the planning, design, and construction of capital projects, including the District’s Household Hazardous Waste Program. In addition, he manages key organizational functions to support the District’s strategic goals.

Adam Ross As a mechanical and civil engineer, Adam’s technical background is anaerobic digestion, biogas utilization, renewable energy, renewable fuels, and codigestion of organic waste. This work is strongly aligned with his passion for the environment and belief that we need to do everything possible to combat climate change. Adam is proud to have played a role in digestion and energy projects for the majority of Northern California’s population. As a Strategy Leader for Climate Change and Resilience, Adam is focused on connecting Brown and Caldwell’s unique talent and expertise to agencies seeking guidance and solutions for mitigating and adapting to climate change.
