The coronavirus is raising concern among collection system professionals. WEF, the Water Research Foundation and academics are racing to determine if COVID-19 can be transmitted through sewer systems. According to the CDC, evidence points towards the virus being inactive in sewage and the risk of transmission is thought to be low. WEF?s current recommendations are standard PPEs and good hand hygiene. While professionals await definitive science, how do we take precautions?
