Description:
This online training module will cover the
basics of the wastewater treatment process. This includes preliminary
treatment, primary treatment, digesters, lagoons/oxidation ponds, secondary
treatment (trickling filters and Activated Sludge), disinfection and a brief
overview on the math formulas needed to operate each treatment process. This
basic workshop is designed to educated the decision makers and assist
wastewater operators with preparing for the state wastewater exam.
Topics include:
· Wastewater language
· The critical components for wastewater
treatment (food, microorganisms and oxygen)
· An explanation for each treatment process to
provide the critical components for wastewater treatment
· An overview of the state math conversion
sheet, sometimes referred to as the "cheat sheet"
· How to work wastewater math problems
· Practice math problems and test questions will
be provided

Registration:
Are you attending this training as a group and
not watching from your own computer? If so, your group leader will need to
inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) about attendees who will view sessions as a
group prior to session start. You do not need to participate from your own
computer/device, but will need to complete an evaluation to receive credit and
contact hours. Please note that sign-in sheets NO LONGER validate attendance at
